the rocky island silently observesthe approaching ship --unwelcoming
headlights and shadowsstillness in the historic house --except the cat grooming
the sun peeks her headthrough the rainclouds andquickly hides again
curving right to left --near the basket the pink thunderbirdskips off the ground
i open the door --red squirrel sitting on the deckcontinues sitting
my disc fliestoo far right -- now i'm playingcatch with a pine tree
tables and sellerssellers and buyers and junk --junk and treasure
the streetlamp createsa warm circle -- rain falls, themoon is almost full
shiny new Applecalling out to me -- if onlyi could afford it
coffee, chair, sunbeam --My Love sits above the dewembracing morning
