ponderingthe desirability of life afterfuckable
that feelingwhen my eyelid tries to flipinside out
the paving stoneholding my basement door closedsnow-covered again
warmer todaybut there's no thawwithout sunshine
despite the voicesall i hear is the quietin between
classic comic booksdraw such simple lines betweengood and evil
long after midnight--orange cat sleeps on a pizza boxthe boiler rumbles
2:49--train horn reminds mei should be asleep
a hint of bluebehind the sticks livingby the frozen river
flight of pigeonsalmost lands on the wiresacross the street
Moon's below the treesSun's behind the cloudsSky Map keeps me informed
grey snowy day--the clouds are a softboxfor my eyes
an old man angryat the fragility of the crustthat once was his skin
in the crow feather nighttaillights dance a trail of redto a train horn's song
all through our small townsmoke rises from chimneysmurdering air
there's naught but despairdown the path of youth's follyand years gone too soon
dreading my crossingof the vast frozen tundra --twelve steps to my car
i wonder aboutthe tipping pointof greed
i snowshoed acrossthe back yard to the river--view from Squirrel Crossing
if our world were ruledby peace and understandingwould we then crave war?
