‘Tis Trick or Treat,
the season screams,
but that’s a false dilemma.
For Tricks _are_ Treats,
not sep’rate things,
in Halloween cin-EM-a.
To claim the choice
is one of two
is fair to no one living.
(But with that said
I’ll grant the dead
can be quite unforgiving.)
Apologies
to movie ghouls
who wants to go on fright’ning.
But all your scares
can only fill
me with so much delight-ning.
The time is now,
this is our chance
to make a break from hist’ry.
‘Tis Trick _and_ Treat,
yes, both are ours
in this, the sea’on of witch’ry!
