I was inspired to write this haiku by a prompt at Fálki’s Falcon & Acorn Mighty Network. Christina had offered the prompt: stirring of life.
As usual I let my mind wander, and I quickly hit upon the scene from THE LAST OF US [spoiler alert] where Ellie’s mother gives birth to her. The mother is attacked and bitten by a zombie during the birthing process. She dies soon afterward, but because of the attack on her mother, Ellie becomes immunized against the infection.
