Fálki and I visited Quill Hill, Maine, in September 2023. We were staying in Strong, so it was a shortish drive.
The views at Quill Hill’s peak are supposed to be 360 degrees, but there were too many people up there when we arrived, so we hiked 3/4 mile down to the lower viewing area.
Along the way we saw many silver trees that seemed to be dead but thriving. Some of them had mushrooms on them.
