This was a submission to Round 1 of the NYC Midnight Rhyming Story Challenge in October 2023.
The challenge had the following constraints.
- Must have a definite rhyme scheme
- Must be 500 words or less
- Theme: Bling
- Genre: Comedy
- Emotion or State of Being: Impaired
My story finished 7th in my group of 34 writers. The top 8 in each group were chosen to move on to Round 2.
